new book by Jhumpa Lahiri
There is a new book that is to be released soon - The Unaccoustomed Earth'. The reviews look good.
I don't read many Indian authors, I am mostly the pulp fiction fan. But there is something in Jhumpa Lahiri's style of writing that draws me to her writing - the way she seems to build emotions into some of the most mundance of instances is really appealing.
Given the disconnect some one like me experiences in the India of my parents' generation, I am sure a lot of NRIs will appreciate Jhumpa Lahiri's writing.
